There is so much going on these days with finalizing details for my summer couples and gearing up to all of the planning for my fall weddings as well...it just makes me feel so blessed to be doing something that I so passionately love.
So with details dwindling down for my June and July Brides, I wanted to introduce some lovely beauty advice by one of THE best in the biz, Lauren O' Leary Pavelka of Lovelobeauty. Listen up ladies because this girl is not only COMPLETELY obsessed with all of the deets to making your beauty routines fabulous; but her passion for eyelash extensions is ah-mazing. I am seriously, seriously in lash heaven. Take a peek, read her insights on makeup trends for this year, and check out her fantastic beauty blog and facebook page!
The Talented Lauren O'Leary Pavelka {gorg, isn't she??!}
Lauren, when working with Brides, one of the things that I hear is that they really want to know how to have their skin look its best for their special day. Can you give Brides some tips on what Brides can do before their wedding day?
Make up always looks better on beautiful glowing
skin. None of us have perfect skin but here's a few things you can do to help
your skin out before your wedding day.
- Drink
lots and lots of water
- Drink
Green tea
- Try
to eat very clean such as fruits and vegetables, lean meats and whole
grains. Avoid processed and sugary foods.
- Exercise
- Exfoliate
using a gentle scrub about 2 times a week this will give your skin that
glow
- Hydrate
your skin with a really good moisturizer. Many times people have breakouts
because their skin is dehydrated.
If you can afford to it is really a great investment to have a professional do your make up for your wedding day. Most wedding day makeup artists have had a lot of experience with different skin types and products and can get you looking your best on your special day! They usually understand how make up works with cameras and lighting and can make sure you look beautiful. I think it's very important to have a consultation with your makeup artist, to make sure you feel very completely comfortable and confident in your make up!
What are you feeling are the best trends for Brides this year and into next?
The current trends I am seeing in makeup (perfect for the wedding day) are things like a bold lip and a neutral, soft eye or just the opposite- a smokey eye and soft pink lip. Golden and bronzed (very beachy and shimmery) is also stunning for the right Bride and, of course, thick, dramatic Eyelashes!
Let's talk about lashes since this is really your passion! How are lash extensions better than strip lashes and what does the eyelash extension application all entail?
Eyelash extensions are longer lasting and require little to no maintenance as opposed to strip lashes. Extensions last anywhere from 4-6 weeks and there is no need to apply mascara or curl them while they are on. They are perfect for your wedding day because they can look much more natural and realistic than a strip lash, you will not need to worry about mascara running because you don't need to wear any and they are perfect for that after marriage honeymoon for a maintenance free beautiful look.
A full set of eyelash extensions takes about 2
hours. You are lying down on a comfortable massage bed and will have your eyes
closed while your lash technician applies eyelash extensions one by one to each
one of your individual eyelashes. There is no- pain and it is a very relaxing
procedure. You can also find out more detailed information on

LA FINALE...
Okay, your work is completely amazing. Really, really good!! Tell us more about you!
I have been a makeup artist for 9 years. I have
always been interested in the beauty industry and lived and worked as a model
in New York City at the age of 17. During that time I was also doing make up
for MAC cosmetics and getting lots of tricks of the trade from makeup artists
on photo-shoots. When I moved back to Minnesota I continued working for MAC
cosmetics as a makeup artist and slowly began to do freelance make up for
weddings, photo shoots etc.
That evolved into an interest in doing lash
extensions after seeing celebrity lashes like Kim Kardashians and Jennifer
Lopez. I knew that lash extensions were a hot trend and knew it would be
something I could see myself doing. Now, I couldn't be happier with what I do,
and started my own company Lovelo Beauty.
Lash extensions and make up can go hand in hand
but they both challenge me in different ways and I love that. I've always loved
being creative and doing precise detailed work.
I also love writing and write a beauty blog on
my website lovelobeauty.com I have tested
hundreds, probably thousands of different beauty products from hair, to skin,
to make up and love to write about my experiences and recommendations. :)
There you have it, Ladies! Aren't the before and after's incredible?! Want to know about Lauren and what she can do for you and your wedding party? Feel free to email her at lauren@lovelobeauty.com
